Kim Kardashian has taken her rapidly growing £3billion Skims fashion empire to London with the opening of its first UK store on Regent Street – and fans are delighted.

The billionaire celebrity's shapewear and swimwear brand revealed plans to move into the former Ted Baker flagship store at number 245-247, in May last year, marking the company's first international flagship.

Today, the 12,000 sq ft store in the UK's capital celebrated its grand opening, with shoppers flocking to get their hands on the brand's signature and bestselling styles.

'Now Open: SKIMS London Flagship. Our first international flagship store is officially open. Head over to the iconic Regent Street to shop our signature and best-selling styles in person,' the brand wrote on Instagram.

Its opening announcement attracted hundreds of excited fans flooding the comment section. One person said: 'Get me into London ASAP.' Another person added: 'Can't wait to visit.'

A third person said: 'Best news ever'. Meanwhile, another person added: 'Can't wait to visit when I'm back in London soon!'

The flagship marks Skims' first permanent standalone store in the UK, having previously only popped up on a temporary basis.

The Regent Street site is a prime corner location and sits among other recent high-end retail openings on the street, including Antler, Max&Co, Penhaligon's, Michael Kors, Gant and Lululemon.

Earlier this year, Skims teamed up with Nike to open a pop-up at Selfridges, where it showcased the NikeSkims Spring '26 ballerina collection.

The Regent Street flagship was first reported back in May 2025, when Robert Norton, chief commercial officer at Skims, said: 'This milestone reflects our strategic focus on expanding into key global markets, bringing SKIMS' unique brand vision directly to customers worldwide.'

Skims was set up seven years ago by Kardashian with British entrepreneur and fashion designer Emma Grede and her husband Jens Grede, who is from Sweden.

It has seen remarkable growth thanks to its popularity among the Kardashians' huge fan base and was valued at $4billion (£3billion) following a funding round in 2023.

Skims products are already stocked in the UK at Selfridges and Harrods, but it has now signed a ten-year lease with Regent Street landlord The Crown Estate.

Mr Grede told The Times: 'Launching a standalone Skims store on London's Regent Street is a pivotal step in our global expansion.

'This iconic location allows us to forge a deeper, more personal connection with our UK customers, delivering the full Skims experience in a world-class retail destination with authenticity and vision at the heart of our brand.'

Kardashian, who shot to fame through the reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2007, has seen notable business success with Skims.

The company's growth helped her achieve Forbes billionaire status in 2021 and had revenue of $750million (£570million) in 2023.

Mr Norton said: 'Opening our first UK store on London's iconic Regent Street is a landmark moment for Skims.

'Its global prestige and vibrant history make it the perfect setting to debut our immersive retail experience. This milestone reflects our strategic focus on expanding into key global markets.'

Laura Thursfield, Crown Estate retail leasing director, added: 'Welcoming Skims in its first foray into the UK bricks-and-mortar market is an exciting moment for The Crown Estate.

'Emphasising Regent Street's position as London's premier lifestyle destination, the arrival highlights the area's sustained attractiveness for global brands.

'This opening will enhance the diversity of the wider retail and leisure offering, boosting both footfall and commercial activity in the West End by driving different audiences towards the world-class destination that is Regent Street.'

Kardashian's friend, Mrs Grede, is also a co-founder and chief executive of Khloe Kardashian's brand Good American, and co-founder of Kris Jenner's cleaning/self-care brand Safely.
