Better Made celebrates 96 years of making snacks

The chipmaker will celebrate its milestone with weekly giveaways via social media throughout August, with winners receiving gift boxes filled with goodies.

Michigan-based company Better Made Snack Foods celebrated its 96th anniversary on August 1, leading up to National Potato Day on Wednesday, August 19. The company will celebrate with weekly giveaways via Facebook and Instagram throughout August, with each winner receiving a gift box filled with freshly made Better Made snacks.
Founded in 1930 as Cross and Peters Company, Better Made Snack Foods has been making snacks in Michigan for multiple generations. Better Made is still family-owned, still in Detroit, and still supporting the community through various charitable donations. The company released three new products in the last year, including All Dressed Up flavored potato chips, Crispy White Round Tortilla Chips (New Era), and seasoning shakers filled with the exact seasoning Better Made uses on its chips. The company has won numerous awards and accolades for its snack foods over the years, and part of Better Made’s success story is the development and release of new products like these.
“Better Made is celebrating not only 96 years of crafting the snacks families across Michigan love, but we’re also celebrating the loyalty of our customers and the dedication of our team,” says Dave Jones, president of Better Made. “From the garage we started in in 1930 to the household favorite we are today, we maintain our commitment to quality ingredients, irresistible flavors, and the community that has accepted us as part of their families. Founded in 1930 in Detroit as Cross and Peters, and now in its 96th year, Better Made Snack Foods continues to develop and provide a wide variety of snack foods, including assorted original and flavored potato chips and potato sticks, gourmet popcorn, pretzels, tortilla chips, pork rinds, and more.
