About the event
As our world shifts online, economic and digital policies are increasingly shaping the everyday realities of LGBTI+ people. From selective moral taxation to platform regulations that disproportionately shadowban or restrict queer voices, the digital economy is becoming a new battleground for equality.
At the fringes of EuroPride and WorldPride in Amsterdam, this interactive session explores the deep connection between economic freedom and queer rights. Bringing together content creators, activists, researchers, and policymakers, we will dive into the sharp edges of the digital frontier. From discussing the financial impact of selective taxes on adult content creators to tackling online harassment and platform censorship, this event will highlight the lived experiences of queer creators and the future of inclusive community spaces. Join us as we launch new research, share insights from across Europe, and ask the ultimate question: Who does freedom really belong to?
