As it turns out, St. John’s roster is not complete, and the Johnnies are in the market for a difference-maker to add to an already strong squad, according to sources.

The new five-for-five NCAA eligibility rule that is being challenged in court by last season’s seniors has created the potential for the Johnnies to land another impactful player.

International high school recruit Gildas Gimenez was recently ruled academically ineligible, which opened up a spot on St. John’s roster, sources said.

St. John’s has expressed interest in high-scoring Auburn wing Keyshawn Hall, and former Red Storm standout forward Dillon Mitchell is another option, according to sources.
