Dr Chris Brown has revealed why he would 'never' host the Logie Awards.

The celebrity vet was responding to reports that funnyman Sam Pang is not expected to return to the gig after helming TV's night of nights three years running.

Describing the high-profile hosting job as 'challenging', Chris, 47, said that the live show, filmed before the Aussie A-list of broadcasting, was 'a tough room'.

'It would be one of the great challenges, one of the great, sort of, buzzes,' Chris said on Monday's episode of Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy.

'It's a tough room,' he continued after co-host Cat Lynch teased the My Reno Rules host that taking on the Logies anchor was a 'career-ending challenge'.

'I mean, if they banned steel cutlery on ceramic plates, maybe, because that's all you can hear when you go out there.'

Explaining that it was hard for anyone on stage to get the attention of the live Logie audience, who are served supper and drinks throughout the evening.

'That's the job of the host is to constantly pull focus back onto them,' he said.

Chris then detailed how he ended up as a last-minute replacement presenter.

'I had an experience that's always scarred me from there. I was told at the pre-drinks that Shaun Micallef had tried to put eye drops in his eyes, but had mistakenly put super glue,' he said.

'And so he couldn't present. So, I got the call up, and they said, "Look, it's one of the first awards. Don't worry, it's all on autocue".'

He said that the autocue was a large screen positioned at the back of the room in front of several tables.

'As I walk out, the entire Home & Away table stands up and has a conversation with someone from Neighbours, I think,' he recalled.

'And so they're all standing, blocking the autocue. I haven't seen the script, and now I'm trying to read between Toadie Rebecchi [Ryan Moloney] from Neighbours and Alf Stewart [Ray Meagher]. It's a room just waiting for disaster.'

It comes after Pang wowed viewers as host of the Logies last year, but there is talk in the industry that the 52-year-old won't be back for a fourth time.

According to TV Tonight, there are unconfirmed reports that the star of the Front Bar has decided to step away from the role.

Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as Logies host three years running proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list, as well as a major ratings winner for Seven.

Elsewhere, the publication reports that the awards show is likely to move to a new venue after being hosted at Sydney's Star Casino since 2023.

The show, which is usually broadcast in August, will also have new producers, with Eureka Productions taking over from ITV Australia.

Seven will once again broadcast the ceremony.

Daily Mail has reached out to Sam Pang and The Logies for comment.

Sam's debut as Logies host in 2023 was a big hit with fans and a ratings success for Seven, with the show drawing an impressive 877,000 viewers.

And viewers credited Sam for the success, with many tuning in to the Logies for the first time just to see him as host.

He was a big hit with viewers thanks to his blistering series of gags.

Pang took aim at everything from gross reality TV to the scandalous private lives of celebrities.
