For a few discreet hours in Monaco, the noise of Formula 1 faded into the background.

There were no grid lights, no roaring engines echoing through the streets of the Principality. Instead, there was a quiet civil ceremony, carefully shielded from the usual glare of cameras, where Charles Leclerc married his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux.

The Ferrari driver chose to celebrate the moment on home soil, in the Principality where he grew up and where his career first took shape. The ceremony was deliberately private: only a small circle of relatives and close friends were invited, making the event far removed from the global spectacle that usually surrounds the Monegasque driver.

For Leclerc, one of Formula 1’s most recognisable faces, it was a rare moment of intimacy.

A Legendary Ferrari for the Newlyweds’ Exit

If the ceremony itself was discreet, the couple’s departure provided a scene worthy of Monaco.

Witnesses on the heights of the Principality spotted the newly married couple leaving in a truly exceptional car: a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, one of the most coveted collector vehicles in automotive history.

The car, painted in Ferrari’s iconic racing red, is estimated to be worth several or even tens of millions of euros and perfectly reflects Leclerc’s long-standing connection with Ferrari. Behind the wheel sat the groom himself, still very much the racing driver even on his wedding day.

Videos captured by onlookers and local media showed the pair seated side by side, waving briefly as they drove through Monaco’s narrow streets.

Their appearance was elegant but understated.

Leclerc wore a cream-coloured suit, simple and refined, while Saint Mleux opted for a classic bridal look. Her hair was styled in a polished chignon and she carried a bouquet of delicate white flowers.

A small motorbike escort accompanied the couple through the principality, ensuring their quiet procession moved smoothly through the city’s winding roads.

Though often seen at races alongside Leclerc, Alexandra Saint Mleux has built a profile of her own far beyond the Formula 1 paddock.

Now 23, she has become a major figure on social media, with more than 3.4 million followers on Instagram, where she shares fashion, travel and cultural content. Her refined aesthetic and interest in art have helped establish her as a rising fashion personality.

But her passions go beyond style.

Saint Mleux studied art history at the École du Louvre in Paris, one of France’s most prestigious institutions for the study of art and heritage. She has also been involved in Corazones Unidos, a project dedicated to improving access to education and art for disadvantaged children in Mexico.

According to Leclerc himself, her influence has broadened his own horizons. In a recent interview, the driver explained that she encouraged him to take a deeper interest in culture, literature and artistic inspiration, areas far removed from the high-speed world of motorsport.

A Love Story That Began in 2023

Leclerc and Saint Mleux have been together since 2023, a relationship that quickly attracted attention from Formula 1 fans.

Despite their growing popularity online, the couple has generally preferred to keep their personal life relatively private. Their engagement in November 2025, however, became an instant viral moment.

Leclerc orchestrated the proposal with the help of their dachshund, Leo, who wore a tag carrying a simple but unmistakable message:

“Dad wants to marry you.”

The romantic gesture spread rapidly across social media, delighting fans around the world.

Just a few months later, the couple have quietly formalised their union.

A Moment of Calm Before the Racing Storm

For now, the newlyweds have kept details of the ceremony largely out of the public eye. No official statement has yet been released, though fans are eagerly waiting for more photographs from the celebration.

The timing of the wedding is also striking.

The Formula 1 season is about to resume in Melbourne, meaning Leclerc will soon return to the intense rhythm of international racing weekends, media obligations and championship battles.

This intimate ceremony in Monaco therefore marked a brief pause, a moment of calm before Australia where the speed and pressure of the circuit returns.

For a driver whose life is usually measured in tenths or even thousandths of a second, it was one of the rare occasions where time seemed to slow down.

And when the Ferrari finally disappeared into the streets above the harbour, it carried not just a racing driver and his partner, but a newly married couple beginning a new chapter together.
