Anne Robinson gets lesson in porn from Alastair Campbell's daughter by SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE

Grace Campbell, 20-year-old daughter of spin doctor Alastair, has introduced TV presenter Anne to the world of hardcore porn for a new documentary, writes SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE.

Her father was famous for ‘sexing up’ government documents. Now Grace Campbell, 20-year-old daughter of Tony Blair’s spin doctor Alastair Campbell, has introduced TV presenter Anne Robinson to the world of hardcore pornography.

Robinson, 70, had never watched a blue movie before Grace approached her to take part in a five-minute film examining her reactions to explicit material readily available online.

‘Online porn is everywhere,’ says Grace. ‘I’m 20 and grew up online . . . this means my friends and I are dealing with sexual expectations that often seem to have stemmed from porn.’

New world: Anne Robinson, 70, experiences porn for the first time in a new documentary made by Grace Campbell, the daughter of spin doctor Alastair

Like father, like daughter? Although later Tony Blair's spin doctor, Alastair Campbell started his career as a writer at soft-porn magazine Penthouse Forum

The film, made for the Guardian, then cuts to Weakest Link presenter Robinson murmuring ‘good heavens!’ as she spots, in her own words, ‘a woman with absolutely ginormous breasts’.

‘I don’t think Martin Scorcese is going to sign them up any time soon,’ Robinson comments of the actors, observing that one gentleman rubbing a woman’s nether regions ‘looks like he could really be pounding some pastry’.

‘The most revealing part of this is how fake it seems,’ she adds.

‘What puzzles me is how people find that erotic, because it seems so crude and so far away from any fantasy about a loving sexual relationship.’

Campbell expresses concern that porn is ‘increasingly linking sex with violence’ and ‘a generation of boys are being exposed to a warped sense of what is normal sexual behaviour’.

‘So what’s the solution?’ she asks.

‘We can’t ban these films. I’m not even saying we should.

'But when 83 per cent of young people say they aren’t getting good sex education at school, we cannot have porn taking its place.’

Has Grace discussed any of this with her father, I wonder?

Campbell Sr started his career after Cambridge University by writing for a soft-porn magazine, Penthouse Forum, and introduced a generation of men to the exploits of ‘the Riviera Gigolo’ which were purportedly based on his own real-life sexual escapades.

The gigolo was a Cambridge modern languages student based in Nice (just like Campbell) who donned a kilt and busked with ‘incredibly phallic’ bagpipes which had an aphrodisiac effect on women.

The mind boggles.

Carole's now a model mum

The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother Carole Middleton is raising her profile as a successful businesswoman.

She has begun promoting sales of party paraphernalia on her company website, Party Pieces, by using her own mugshot and she also sent out black-and-white pictures of herself in marketing emails.

The decision by Carole, 60, is an apparent change of heart. Up until last month, she did not use her name in advertising, apparently out of fear of being accused of cashing in on her royal connections.

How fortuitous that this self-promotion coincides with the impending birth of another royal grandchild.

THE death of cricket commentator Richie Benaud makes all the more glaring the dive in quality at BBC radio’s Test Match Special, now plagued by the glottal-stop witterings of former England captain Michael Vaughan.

Yesterday, while supposedly reporting from the West Indies Test match, Vaughan and fellow ex-professional Ed Smith — a New Statesman columnist — droned on about the ‘garage’ and ‘house’ genres of dance music.

Vaughan hopes to become the next England team supremo. Whatever gets him off the air. . .

On your bike, Emily!

Woman of the people: Ex-MP Emily Thornberry's son has revealed that the family has a 'bike room'

It’s no wonder Labour MP Emily Thornberry, who attacked the Tories’ right-to-buy policy while pocketing income via a rental property purchased from a housing association, is so out of touch with voters.

The former barrister, who was sacked from the front bench after tweeting a sneering picture of a terraced house draped in England flags, lives in a four-storey North London townhouse worth almost £3 million.

In fact, Thornberry’s home is so large her 23-year-old son, Felix, boasts in a Cambridge University student newspaper: ‘I was brought up in a house that had a specialised “bike room” roughly the size of the kitchen, and far larger than my sister’s bedroom.’

It’s not the first time the Islington South MP, who is married to High Court judge Sir Christopher Nugee, has been accused of hypocrisy.

She snubbed local comprehensives to send Felix to a partially selective school 14 miles outside her constituency.

Mary Portas became David Cameron’s ‘High Street tsar’ amid great fanfare, but she has now cocked a snook at one of his Cabinet ministers.

Roly-poly Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles sparked protests when he ruled that a mews near the TV presenter’s London home could be turned from small businesses into luxury housing.

However, the site in Primrose Hill has now been sold to a firm that plans to scrap the project. ‘I’m thrilled,’ Portas says.

‘Eric Pickles take note: Building million-pound flats does not solve a housing problem.’
