The IQ levels of some of the UK's best-loved reality stars were left being questioned by fans of Celebs Go Dating on Monday night.

The latest episode of the E4 show saw the celebrity singletons sent to a mixer to flirt with potential suitors - yet their combined intellect seemed to leave much to be desired.

Jack Fowler, of Love Island 2018, was seen approaching identical twin sisters to attempt to chat them up.

Introducing himself, he asked one how old she was. She told him, leaving Jack to turn to the other and ask the same question.

The ladies weren't impressed, as Jack slowly but surely realised why.

He then asked where they were from.

'Southampton,' one of them answered, to which Jack replied: 'That's the midlands right?'

Jack wasn't flying the flag for intellectually-challenged celebrities alone, however.

Not one of the famous faces at the mixer knew what an electricity pylon was.

David Potts got chatting to a man he felt would be a good match for Megan McKenna, who painted pylons for a living.

David required extensive explanation on what, precisely, a pylon was; as did Megan who eventually went out for a one-on-one with the man. She turned out to be equally clueless on the subject.

She also thought UB40 was a club, rather than a band.

David continued to display his less-than-woke personality when he was seen on a date with a man who told him he had visited Ecuador and Chile.

'What? Where?' was his reply, eventually explaining he believed that Chile was in China.
