Sweet new pictures released today show the Princess of Wales and Prince Louissharing an adorable moment at her Christmas carol concert. Royal fans swooned at a number of sweet moments between Kate Middleton and her three children at her annual carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 5. Their heart-warming bond was clear for all to see as Princess Charlotte, ten, arrived to support her mother alongside her father, Prince William, 43, and brothers, Princes George, 12, and Louis, seven.

The whole family was sleek in navy and green, as the boys wore smart suits while Charlotte was adorable in a blue dress with a white collar - a perfect complement to her mother's emerald. Kate was pictured beaming proudly at her children, leading them towards Westminster Abbey as they admired the festive light decorations ahead of the service last night. And once inside, the Princess of Wales helped Louis balance a candle while she held onto an order of service in her other hand.

In adoring scenes, Kate could be seen speaking quietly to her youngest son, while he sat with a cheeky grin on his face. Commenting on the image, one royal fan wrote on X: 'The sweetest photo of the Princess of Wales and Prince Louis this evening. Another added: 'Prince Louis stealing the show.' Meanwhile, Princess Catherine's close relationship with her daughter Charlotte was also on show at the carol service, which is now in its fifth year.

The pair's faces visibly lit up with joy as they spotted each other outside Westminster Abbey before the concert kicked off at 5pm on Friday December 5. Bearing a wide grin, the Princess of Wales quickly held her arm out to embrace her daughter, who looked equally delighted to support her mother at the event. The family were later photographed walking into the Abbey together, and Kate continued to lovingly direct her gaze at her daughter.

Reacting to the adorable images, one person posted on X: 'Princess Charlotte has the grace and poise of her mother The Princess of Wales.' Another shared a heart emoji, alongside a photo of the pair with the caption: 'The Princess of Wales and her daughter Princess Charlotte at Westminster Abbey this evening.' However, Christmas carol concert's show of affection is nothing unusual for Kate and Charlotte. The duo have shared many loving moments throughout the years, including giggling and cute glances at events such as Wimbledon.

December's carol service featured a host of celebrities with Kate Winslet and Katie Melua among those on the 1,600-person-strong guest list. Prince William, Winslet and actor Chiwetel Ejiofor all gave readings at the event which recognised community stalwarts and honoured 'love in all its forms'. Celebrity chef Dame Mary Berry, who created a Christmas wreath on display in the Abbey, was also invited. Melua, Fisherman's Friends and Griff performed on a roster, featuring Dan Smith from pop rock band Bastille.

The service recognised individuals from across the UK who may have dedicated or volunteered their time to be present with others, led initiatives that bring people in their community together, or offered a helping hand to those around them. Among those invited was schoolgirl Madison Reed, who last year raised more than £1,360 for the Archie Foundation by Highland dancing in 26 locations across Scotland, each beginning with a different letter of the alphabet. She raised the funds for the charity, which supports sick children receiving medical care in north-east Scotland, along with their families. In a letter that was available to all guests, the princess praised community stalwarts invited to the service, telling them they are making an 'extraordinary difference to the lives of others'.

She also extolled the virtues of the Christmas period that reminds us 'how deeply our lives are woven together', adding that despite life feeling 'fragmented or uncertain' at times, the festive season 'invites us to remember the power of reaching out to one another'. In her letter, Kate said: 'This carol service offers a moment of collective togetherness, a chance to celebrate the spirit of community and service, and to honour the visible and invisible bonds that unite us all. 'The time, care and compassion you give, often quietly and unspoken, and without any expectation or recognition, make an extraordinary difference to the lives of others.'
