Conor McGregor has revealed a staggering offer to take part in the 'spectacle for the ages' UFC event planned for the White House.

Plans for the extraordinary show, set for the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, were unveiled last week.

United States president Donald Trump has pressed ahead with plans to host a UFC fight night next year.

His friend and UFC chief executive Dana White was seen entering the White House earlier this month to pitch the idea of a high profile fight in Washington to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Since news of the spectacle broke, McGregor, who has teased a return to the Octagon for more than four years since his defeat by Dustin Poirier in July 2021, has been tipped to finally make his comeback at the event.

The Irishman has now claimed that an eye watering $100million fee and 100 of Trump's 'gold card visas' - an authorisation costing $1m each which grants lawful permanent residence in the United States - has persuaded him to end his self imposed retirement.

'$100million to fight at the White House along with 100 U.S 'Golden Visas' for myself and family and friends,' McGregor wrote on X. 'I look very forward to entertaining the fighting world once again. A pleasure I never take for granted!'

The 37 year old has also posted clips of himself training and further claims that he will '100 per cent' be fighting bare knuckle and will 'throw harder and more venomous than I have ever thrown before'.

After a meeting earlier this month, White told his 10.7million Instagram followers: 'The White House fight is on. We got it done today.'

People involved in the planning told the Wall Street Journal the event will take place in June 2026.

Last week, the first AI generated images of the event were revealed, showing a stunning backdrop with sensational lighting and colour displays outside the iconic building.

Images shared with Fox show the White House draped in red, white and blue lights, thousands of fans outside and traditional 3D UFC graphics for broadcast.

A UFC octagon is pictured in the middle of a makeshift arena with the White House as the backdrop.

Another image shows weigh ins and press conferences with a stage outside the Lincoln Memorial and thousands of fans watching on.

More images show a firework display and a giant cover over the ring and fans in case of rain.

Fans were stunned on social media. One wrote: 'This is going to be a spectacle for the ages.'

Another added: 'These will be the highest priced tickets in history.' A third said: 'This will literally be bigger than any sports event ever, including the Super Bowl, World Cup and UFC Noche Sphere. Can't wait.'

White said there will be fewer than 5,000 fans in attendance, but up to 85,000 people may be able to access a viewing area.

He added: 'We'll build the greatest card of all time. Conor and I have been talking consistently, he wants this fight bad and when you get to a level that Conor is at you have to find things that motivate you, and the White House card has definitely motivated Conor McGregor.'
