it’s very simple-make gun ownership a privilege instead of a right and classify weapons into distinct categories with strict age, registration, and psychological mandates-all of which as was done years ago in Australia Canada & the UK.

You do understand that most of the people committing gun crimes are already illegally in possession of a gun, right? So how do you think your ideas would change that?

There are an estimated 400 million privately owned firearms in the US, with a population of 340 million people. Australia successfully confiscated 650,000 guns out of a population of 27 million people.
You continue to ignore any real world considerations that would mar your fantasy of confiscating firearms in the US.

we should care because as other countries have shown, there is a proven solution to firearm deaths but the US refuses to implement it and instead over the past decade (roughly 2015 to 2025), over 400,000 Americans have died from gun violence.

The United States is a constitutional republic, under which the right to bear arms is protected. Lawfully armed citizens are not the problem with gun violence.
