MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Moscow will consider armed provocations by Kiev and the Moldovan authorities against Transnistria as acts of aggression directed at Russia itself. Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin emphasized in an interview with TASS that Russia will employ all available means to safeguard its citizens and interests.

"Currently, we assess the risk of direct armed provocations by Kiev and Chisinau against Transnistria as low. Nonetheless, we cannot entirely dismiss such possibilities," he stated.

Galuzin reiterated Russia's stance, saying, "As we have consistently declared, any reckless and irresponsible actions will be viewed under international law as an attack on Russia, prompting a decisive and prompt response." He underscored Russia's readiness to defend its personnel and assets, including the Operational Group of Russian Forces and peacekeepers in Transnistria, affirming that Moscow is prepared to respond to any escalation with all necessary measures.
