The Revolution confirmed earlier reports and announced the signing of winger Jack Harrison on Saturday evening.
Harrison, 29, joins New England from Leeds United FC via transfer, and will become a Designated Player in Major League Soccer roster terms. The deal runs through the 2029-30 MLS season, pending receipt of Harrison’s P-1 visa and international transfer certificate.
Born in England, Harrison has a local tie in his background after attending Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, where he was the high school Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2015.
Having also spent time in the Liverpool and Manchester United academies, Harrison was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. After establishing himself with New York City FC, Harrison eventually left for Europe. He collected the largest number of games playing for Leeds, also making more recent loan stops at Everton and Fiorentina.
Coming to the Revolution, Harrison should add a dynamism to their attack that has been missing at times in 2026. Though New England has gotten off to a good start in 2026 — currently placed fourth in the Eastern Conference — it has been achieved with limited production from several attacking players.
New England’s official announcement of the signing coincided with Harrison’s in-person introduction to fans ahead of kickoff in the matchup against Atlanta United. He received a warm round of applause from the crowd.
