Two Massachusetts hospitals came out on top in U.S. News & World Report’s latest hospital rankings, which placed Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General among the best in the country and tied for best in the state

BWH and MGH, both part of the Mass General Brigham system, were among the 20 hospitals included on this year’s nationwide honor roll. The honor roll was decided based on several factors, including patient outcomes and interactions with staff.

“Mass General Brigham’s world-class clinicians and care teams provide the very best care for every patient who needs us, and this year’s rankings demonstrate our continued excellence in clinical care,” MGB CEO Dr. Anne Klibanski said in a statement. “Our relentless focus on high-quality outcomes continues to be our north star, especially as our integrated institutes and clinical departments shape the next generation of research-infused care.”

Other Massachusetts hospitals were also recognized for their work in specialized care, including Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, which was ranked third for cancer care.
