In his famous poem, Types of Women, the Greek poet Semonides of Amorgos speaks of a certain ugly woman who “comes from a pig — hairy, filthy, and lazy,” and whose “house is a mess.” Another, he writes, “comes from a dog — noisy, shameless, always barking, wanting to hear and know everything, forever prying into others’ affairs.” I have seen one such woman in the so-called Rainbow Nation. Her name is Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma. In South Africa as we speak, this demon is leading a pack of murderous hounds openly looting foreigners’ shops, beating and torturing them to a stupor, and murdering them in broad daylight. Worse still, Jacinta and her followers in the March and March movement have heightened xenophobic rhetoric, sowing further seeds of murder in the local populace. Already, an unspecified number of foreigners have been slaughtered. And, just like in previous years, houses, schools, and hospitals used by foreigners are under siege. I have already related on this page how South African xenophobes caused a pregnant Ugandan lady to die in a hospital after preventing doctors from attending to her. When divine justice comes, many xenophobic women will die in similar circumstances.

In Satire VI, the Roman poet Juvenal says, “No woman thinks herself ugly if she can afford a mirror.” Jacinta, the kind of woman that the Carthaginian clergyman Tertullian called “the devil’s gateway,” evidently thinks highly of herself in her moral depravity. She has been granting interviews sounding like an escaped inmate of a psychiatric hospital, barking orders at law-abiding residents of South Africa, denouncing Black people and Nigeria, and actively promoting hate and bloodshed. Hear the rudderless radio personality rationalizing her morbid hatred of Nigerians: “Maybe I am a bitter person, who knows. Because I was 14 years old, living with my mother, when I saw her breaking down, crying tears. Because when she went to Home Affairs she found out that she had been married off to a Nigerian that she didn’t even know. So, all of us had a problem with our identity, because our mother was basically using a different surname — the surname of someone she didn’t even know. They at Home Affairs were telling her that the only way to get out of this was to get a divorce. To get a divorce means that this person takes half of everything that she owns. This person that she doesn’t know, she’s never met in her life, who came all the way from Nigeria to steal her identity and pretend that he’s married to her.”

How could a husband Jacinta’s mother had “never met in her life” possibly inherit half of her property? Going by Jacinta’s jaundiced story, all it would take for anyone to inherit half of a woman’s property in South Africa would be to be married to her without her knowledge! Even Lucifer, in all his finery of falsehood, would blush at this terrible lie. Madam Jacinta has said the following depraved things:  1. “Every shop is run by foreigners… Our people are unemployed, and they’re busy laughing at us in those buildings.”  2. “There are people from different parts of the world who are here and working. It doesn’t make any sense, what’s happening in South Africa.”  3. “Foreigners are the new colonizers.”  According to Her Murderous Majesty, foreign nationals are “overrunning” South African schools, a statement publicly rejected by South Africa’s Department of Basic Education as baseless and harmful.

You can’t blame these xenophobes. Most of them know next to nothing about other countries. One recently proclaimed on TikTok that Nigerians carry money in wheelbarrows to the bank. Another said Nigerians can’t afford beef or rice — the same beef and rice that Nigerians eat every day. There are at least 230 million Nigerians living in Nigeria, but South Africa’s xenophobes speak as if every Nigerian is intent on getting a South African visa. They accuse every foreigner of being Nigerian, including a brave Malawian who asked a Zulu thug last week, “Are you a police (officer)?” Jacinta and her warriors invade every foreign-owned outlet, doing the work of immigration officers and supervising torture. As a matter of fact, a “regiment” of the Zulu king is now out on the streets torturing helpless and vastly outnumbered foreigners. Imagine Nigerians deciding to murder foreigners. How many would be left after just a day? In South Africa, you are a proud warrior if you can torture or kill a foreigner, almost always a fellow Black person. After all, according to Madam Jacinta, no African country offered to help when South Africans were battling apartheid! When a child lacks home training, they will advertise it to the whole world.

I am disgusted by the official lies. Here’s Deputy President Paul Mashatile speaking to SABC News during the World African Heritage Day celebrations in Midrand: “Well, South Africa is not anti-foreigners. What we have been doing for years is being against illegal people coming into our country, whether they are from Africa or anywhere in the world.” Mr. Mashatile, you can deny xenophobia all you want, but the evidence against South Africa and its future is overwhelming. In this connection, I hereby celebrate the senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, for calling for the revocation of the licenses of MTN and DStv. Hear the ex-labor leader: “If you hit me, I’ll hit you. I think it is appropriate in diplomacy… South Africans say Nigerians are taking over their jobs. Let them see what happens when Nigerians take over MTN and DStv here.” Thank you, senator, for speaking like a man, not a puff-puff on the podium.

Jacinta and her followers claim to be “fixing” South Africa by ridding it of Black immigrants, but the top 10 percent of the population, most of them white, capture roughly 70 percent of pre-tax income. White South Africans, who make up less than 8 percent of the population, own roughly 80 percent of private land and 77 percent of shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world, consistently over 30 percent. Jacinta and her followers say foreigners have overrun their country, but according to Stats SA, a government statistics agency in Pretoria, only about 3.9 million foreigners, legal and illegal, live in South Africa, representing about 6 percent of the 65 million population. Now, out of the criminals arrested and prosecuted in the last two years, only about 1 percent of them are immigrants. Nigerians involved in the drug trade deserve the death sentence, but the xenophobes want us to believe that every Nigerian living in South Africa, including university professors and techpreneurs, is a drug dealer.

Here’s what I foresee. Very soon, citizens of other African countries will start descending on South Africans living in their territory. In the meantime, I urge the governments of the affected African countries to designate Jacinta and her co-murderers as terrorists. African countries should ban any imports from South Africa and refuse to participate in sporting competitions against South African teams.

As a Nigerian who is part-owner of the wealth and efforts invested in the struggle against apartheid, I hereby call for the revocation of the “Africa first” policy that has brought nothing but shame and disdain to Nigeria.
