TEHRAN, August 10. /TASS/. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has highlighted the significance of the Mecca Agreement, concluded by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, as a clear indication that regional nations are increasingly disillusioned with reliance on the United States.

He emphasized that these countries – bound by deep religious, historical, and cultural ties – are mapping their own security paths.

During a news briefing, Baghaei reassured that there is no cause for concern regarding Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, asserting that the agreement is not aimed at Iran. Instead, he viewed it as a crucial sign that regional players have recognized the limitations of trusting US security assurances and are choosing to depend on their own capabilities and collaborations to ensure stability in the region.
