Giant beasts may be the beating heart of the Monster Hunter franchise, but cooking is the blood flowing through its veins. As any seasoned player would know, it’s always important to consume a hearty meal before a hunt to gain temporary health, stamina, and stat bonuses, as well as specific skill-enhancing Food Skills, and things are no different with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

It’s certainly apt, then, that Capcom has teamed up with Japan Rail Cafe in Singapore to celebrate the release of the latest spin-off title, extending their collaborative streak to the second year running. From now to 26 April, the dining space will be adorned with elements from the game’s vibrant universe, featuring its signature Monsties, companions, and landscapes.

Greeting visitors at the entrance is Rudy, the protagonist’s loyal Palico partner, with life-sized character standees introducing the rest of the party: Kora, Gaul and his Palico, Murray, Eleanor, Simon, Thea, and Ogden. Design artworks bring additional flair to the table (quite literally), decorating parts of the café’s counter and glassy interior.

Off to the side, two demo stations offer a taste of the Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection experience, in which players step into the role of a Ranger and the heir of Azuria, as they join forces with the princess of Vermeil, Eleanor, to combat an environmental disaster and improve relations between their warring kingdoms.

As for the actual taste of food, the themed menu highlights three mains – the Twin Rathalos Salmon Don (S$19), comprising smoked salmon and salmon belly, the Ranger’s Yakitori Fire Bowl (S$17), a combination of grilled chicken skewers and miso-glazed eggplant, and the Pork & Salad Harvest Bowl (S$18) that pairs slices of pork belly with various vegetables. A random coaster spotlighting a Monstie and companion duo is included with every purchase of these themed dishes, with a total of five designs up for grabs.

Then, some thirst quenchers to complete the meal. While available as an add-on for another S$6, the trio of Antidote (Zesty Orange and Vanilla Float), Potion, (Melon and Mint Float), and Zest Pill (Watermelon and Grenadine Float) can also be bought separately for S$7 each. Those who order a collaboration drink will receive a random sticker sheet and collectible card, allowing them to show some love for their favourite in-game loadouts by pasting the corresponding stickers onto the empty fields.

The Monster Hunter Stories 3 and Japan Rail Cafe collaboration ends on 26 April, with important details listed below:
