Pernod Ricard affiliate Corby Spirit & Wine has sold the Lamb’s rum brand in a deal worth CAD$39.2m (£20.8m).

The Caribbean rum brand has been jointly acquired by Canadian beverage business Dandurand Group and France’s La Martiniquaise-Bardinet. Dandurand Group will acquire the rights to the brand in North America, while La Martiniquaise-Bardinet will own the rights in the rest of the world.

In the UK, Lamb’s rum is currently distributed by Pernod Ricard, which owns a majority stake in Corby Spirit & Wine.

It is sold in retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons, as well as across the convenience channel. Off-trade sales have remained flat over the past year at £23.2m [NIQ 52 w/e 19 April 2026].

Pernod Ricard UK will cease distributing Lamb’s in the UK from early autumn, The Grocer understands.
