Naver reported operating profit in the second quarter down 0.2 percent from a year earlier to KRW 520 billion, as costs rose faster than revenues. The Korean company's revenue was up 16.2 percent year-on-year to KRW 3.39 trillion, maintaining the growth rate of the first quarter, while operating expense rose nearly 20 percent to KRW 2.87 trillion on higher costs for content, computing resources and data, Naver said. The net profit still improved 41.6 percent to KRW 704 billion on investment gains.
