The changes represent the most substantial revisions yet for Triumph’s 660cc LAMS range, covering engine hardware, chassis, suspension, styling and touring capability, while retaining learner-approved outputs for the Australian market and long service intervals.

Revisions for 2026 include a move to three individual throttle bodies rather than the previous single throttle body

Australian pricing has been confirmed at $14,890 rideaway for the Trident 660 LAMS and $16,270 rideaway for the Tiger Sport 660 LAMS.

Both models continue to use Triumph’s 660cc inline triple, but receive notable internal changes for 2026. The most significant is a move from a single throttle body to three individual 44 mm throttle bodies, one per cylinder.

In the Australian LAMS specification, the Trident 660 produces 56 PS and 60.7 Nm, while the Tiger Sport 660 delivers 58 PS and 60 Nm, both peaking at 11,250 rpm for power and 6,250 rpm for torque.

Triumph says the revised hardware and calibration focus on smoother low-rpm throttle response and improved mid-range drive, rather than headline output gains. However, the full-power versions overseas deliver 94 horsepower at 11,250 rpm and 68 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm, a significant boost from the previous models.

Positioning in the Australian LAMS market

In recent years, Triumph have been pushing more into the premium end of the market with a high level of standard specification across the board.
