Altai State University has successfully completed the licensing procedure for its new and in-demand secondary vocational education program, 38.02.03, "Operational Activities in Logistics."

"ASU has established a well-developed multi-stage system of continuous education. Graduates of direction 38.02.03, Operational Activities in Logistics, will be able to continue their studies in higher education. For example, the International Institute of Economics and Management of Information Systems offers the 23.03.01, Transport Process Technology program, where students may also pursue additional education at partner universities abroad, including China, if desired," explains Anna Prasolova, Director of the ASU College.

Today’s labor market is highly dynamic, with industries constantly evolving. In response to these challenges, Altai State University continues to expand its range of training programs (specialties), developing competitive products and services for both regional and international educational markets. Only a few years ago, the transportation of goods from suppliers to distributors, intermediaries, and retailers was carried out by departments of trade or manufacturing organizations. Today, an entire industry specializing in this area—logistics—has emerged.

An operational logistician is a specialist responsible for organizing sales and supply chains, finds partners and contractors, analyzes the transportation services market, manages document flow, among other tasks.

The ASU College will begin enrolling students for the new specialty 38.02.03, Operations in Logistics, in the 2026 admissions campaign. Enrollment will be open to applicants with either basic general education (grades 9) or secondary general education (grades 11). More detailed information will be provided at the ASU College Open Day on February 28.
