During a working visit to Kazakhstan, Altai State University representatives gave guest lectures at the 16th International Forum of Young Scientists titled Modern Scientific Trends: From Applied Research to Innovation.

The forum is being held from April 7 to 22 in Ust-Kamenogorsk at the Kazakh-American Free University. During the event, young scientists from Kazakhstan and Russia have the opportunity to learn about the research of leading scientists from around the world, including Russia.

Roman Raikin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development at Altai State University, delivered a widely acclaimed lecture on the latest breakthrough results and unsolved problems in space and universe sciences.

"Astrophysics is characterized by its multidisciplinary nature and the need to integrate concepts from a wide range of scientific fields. Interdisciplinary synthesis, paradoxical thinking, and the ability to interpret ambiguous data—all of this is very useful to develop, especially now, in the era of the AI ​​boom," Roman Ilyich emphasized.

Yulia Lysenko, Head of the Greater Altai Research Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies and professor at Altai State University, offered young scholars a new perspective on studying the history and culture of ancient nomadic civilizations. Nomadic communities represent an interesting and multifaceted subject of study. She emphasized the need for a multidisciplinary approach in research. By combining archeology, ethnography, sociology, history, and other disciplines, as well as using modern digital technologies for data collection and analysis, scholars can more accurately understand the dynamics of nomadic societies and propose effective solutions to pressing problems.

Natalia Derkach, Deputy Director of the International Institute of Economics, Management, and Information Systems, discussed how to recognize the problems of various users and consumers and find effective solutions in her lecture on Design Thinking in Technological Projects. A design-thinking approach, when used in technical projects, enables significant results to be achieved more quickly, which is a key challenge for developing new technologies.

The forum organizers note that the participation of the Altai State University delegation gives the conference international status and opens new horizons for the development of student and faculty mobility between Russia and Kazakhstan.
