Lee Reeves was taken to hospital after losing to Gary Cully in Dublin on Saturday

Queensberry promoter Frank Warren has offered an encouraging update on the condition of Lee Reeves, while also confirming he has been in regular contact with the family of British boxer Raven Chapman.

Irish southpaw Reeves was rushed to hospital following his defeat to Gary Cully in Dublin on Saturday, with his condition subsequently described as "critical but stable".

However, Warren has now revealed that the 31 year old is showing signs of "progress". A GoFundMe page set up for Reeves has reached almost €90,000 in a couple of days.

Warren has also maintained close ties with former Queensberry fighter Chapman, who underwent emergency surgery last Friday to treat a bleed on the brain sustained during a sparring session in Denmark.

"My team have been in touch with Lee Reaves team and he is making progress. That is what we're hearing and thank the Lord for that," Warren said.

"With Lee and with Raven it's all about time. Time hopefully can be a healer. They've both had traumatic experiences.

"I've been made aware of what happened with Raven, she was with us two years ago and I have been in touch her family. They are giving us regular reports.

"It is just about time. That is what it is and we keep praying they will be OK, get back home with Raven's case and with Lee get back to his family as soon as possible."

Chapman was placed in a medically induced coma following surgery to halt the bleeding and alleviate swelling on the brain.

A GoFundMe campaign has since been launched to provide financial support for Chapman, who has now been taken off sedatives and is awaiting medically supervised repatriation to a hospital in the UK.
