Dior is giving the Floating City a taste of its cutting-edge skincare.

The French maison just opened a new spa in Venice at Hotel Cipriani last week, marking the first time the house has made its wellness practices in the Italian metropolis a permanent experience. The retreat debuts on the heels of a Dioriveria pop-up boutique at the Belmond property that splashed down there earlier this summer.

The new spa’s design certainly gives you a sense of place. The space was inspired by multiple eras of Venetian design, including 18^th-century Rococo, details from the 1950s and ‘60s, and a touch of the city today. Those aspects are shown in the spa’s stucco and Venetian terrazzo, soft, neutral hues, and more; though there’s plenty Dior elements, too, with its fragrances on display and other soft touches.

With treatments up for grabs for guests and nonguests alike, you can expect all of Dior’s signature selections, from its HydraFacial hydra dermabrasion offering for cell renewal and reduction of fine lines to the New Look massage that uses microsimulation to tone and detoxify the body. But the maison will also have a trio of exclusive treatments on offer at Hotel Cipriani, which were crafted to honor Christian Dior’s love of masquerade balls and Venice. First up is Mascarade, a facial meant to add a dose of radiance to the skin via LED light therapy, myofascial release, and a Dior Prestige cream mask, for a taste of just part of the process. Then comes the Grand Bal, a personalized menu that targets the hair, face, hands, and feet for the ultimate pre-event prep. Last but not least is the Théatre Corporel, a treatment with not one but two Dior Wellness experts that involves guided breathing, oils focused on relieving tension, and deep myofascial release.

And if you manage to step outside the spa, Hotel Cipriani has plenty on offer. The famed property is perched on the tip of Giudecca Island—accessible in the Venetian lagoon with a private dock—and is home to the Michelin-starred Oro restaurant, a sailing yacht, poolside cabanas at its spacious pool (the only one in Venice proper), and more. Originally opened by Giuseppe Cipriani (who also opened the nearby Locanda Cipriani) back in 1956, the luxe locale is now part of the Belmond fold.

This isn’t the only time the hospitality giant and Dior have teamed up in the wellness universe, either. The duo unveiled two spa tree houses at the legendary Grand Hotel Timeo in 2023. The exclusive experience, only up and running from June to October that year, offered up decor inspired by local flowers and, of course, a range of Dior’s signature treatments.
