The Astros are making a play for Marlins slugger Kyle Stowers, and discussions are ongoing. 

The Padres are listening on anything, including superstar closer Mason Miller. But a trade of Miller still seems like a long shot. 

With superstar Tarik Skubal off the board, there are still several starters on the board: Casey Mize, Clay Holmes, Reid Detmers, José Soriano, Emerson Hancock, Robbie Ray, Dustin May, Brady Singer and Tyler Mahle plus possibly Foster Griffin and Trevor Rogers. 

The Tigers should do well with Mize, a pending free agent who has a 2.70 ERA and 0.99 WHIP and great rep as a competitor.
