Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has invited the Telugu diaspora and global investors to be partners in Telangana’s development, saying the State is pursuing an ambitious economic roadmap aimed at building a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Addressing a meeting of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) in Washington during his visit to the United States, Mr. Vikramarka said the government has adopted the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, which targets transforming Telangana into a $1 trillion economy within the next five years and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Outlining the government’s long-term development strategy, he said that Bharat Future City at Mucherla is being planned as a net-zero, pollution-free urban centre to complement Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad. He said the State has also introduced a three-tier development framework comprising the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE) and Rural Agriculture Region Economy (RARE) to ensure balanced growth across urban, peri-urban and rural areas.

Highlighting initiatives in the education sector, Mr. Vikramarka said the government has established the Young India Skills University under the public-private partnership model to equip youth with industry-oriented skills. It also plans to set up integrated residential schools of international standards in every Assembly constituency.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government has constituted the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) to prevent encroachments on lakes, nalas and government lands in Hyderabad. Referring to the Musi Riverfront Project, he said it aims to rejuvenate the Musi River while transforming its banks into a tourism and commercial hub on the lines of London’s Thames riverfront.

Mr. Vikramarka said Telangana’s per capita income has increased to ₹4.18 lakh, attributing the State’s economic progress to infrastructure projects like the Regional Ring Road (RRR), the proposed second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion and sustained efforts to attract global investments.

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, MLAs T. Ram Mohan Reddy, Rakesh Reddy, Kale Yadaiah, Donthi Madhava Reddy and Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Vijaya Dairy Chairman Gutta Amith Reddy, Congress leader Hanumandla Jhansi Reddy and leaders of the Indian Overseas Congress attended the meeting.
