A feature-rich panel for less.

We're finally reaching that point where feature-rich 4K OLED monitors aren't costing as much of the earth as they used to, meaning you can get a truly top-tier viewing experience for less. FOr instance, this 27-inch 4K 240Hz AOC Agon Pro option is down to £549 from Amazon, making it one of the cheapest panels of its kind and quite the steal for a screen that throws everything and the kitchen sink at its spec sheeet.

The star of the show with this screen is undoubtedly its QD-OLED panel, providing the classic, inky blacks and immense contrast and dynamic range we've come to expect from OLED screens across a 27-inch panel. For good measure, it has a 4K resolution for brilliant detail (as long as you'vev got components capable of running it), plus a 240Hz refresh rate for silky smooth motion. All of this combines to make it a dead cert for both fast-paced shooters where you'll be able to take advantage of that refresh rate, plus in more cinematic titles with a little more responsiveness when warranted.

Peak SDR brightness is only rated at 250 nits, as is typical for this panel type, although in HDR content, it should be able to go much higher for decently impactful highlights. HDR support comes in the form of DisplayHDR True Black 400, while VRR is taken care of with adaptive sync with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync. AOC's Samsung's specs also rate it to have excellent colour accuracy, with virtually perfect coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts.

In terms of ports, there is one DisplayPort 2.1 along side a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports, a two port USB-A hub and a USB-C that can provide display and up to 65W of power delivery, making it ideal for hooking up to a laptop. You also get a headphone jack for audio. As with AOC's other screens, the Agon Pro AG27UZD comes with a pleasant look to it, though, with an almost offset stand, complete with good adjustment with tilt, swivel and height adjustment. This AOC screen will also go into portrait orientation if you need it to.
