Voting rights restored for over 66,000 formerly incarcerated Virginians

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY)-- Governor Abigail Spanberger announced Friday morning that voting rights have been restored for 66,085 Virginians who were formerly incarcerated. Virginia is one of three states with a constitution that permanently revokes citizens with past felony convictions right to vote. It is up to the discretion of the Governor to restore those rights.
