BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- City officials conducted a large encampment clean-up operation in a vacant lot in south Bakersfield on Wednesday. The Bakersfield Police Department’s Impact Unit worked with Public Works, Code Enforcement, Rapid Response, Animal Control and Arson Division -- along with Kern County Mental Health -- to conduct the operation, according to BPD.
