The Academic Library Association (ALA), Tamil Nadu, honoured library professionals and academicians with prestigious awards during the valedictory function of the two-day conference on the theme “Bridging the Digital Divide for Sustainable Development: A Multidisciplinary Approach” held at Holy Cross College recently.

The lifetime achievement award was conferred on Sr. Isabella Rajakumari, principal, Holy Cross College; R. Raghavan, former professor, National Institute of Technology - Tiruchi; S. Srinivasaragavan, former professor and founder head, Department of Library and Information Science, Bharathidasan University, and Professor Doraisamy, former vice-chancellor, Dravidian University, Kuppam; in recognition of their contributions to higher education, library development, research, and the advancement of Library and Information Science, according to a press release.
