Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s only daughter has official cut ties with her estranged father, legally dropping “Cruise” and changing her last name to “Noelle” — her mother’s middle name.
Suri, 20, is registered to vote in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County, where she has spent much of the last two years since starting Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 2024, according to public records, per Page Six.
Suri is set to begin her junior year next month.
Name change old news?That said, Suri — who was born in Los Angeles — did not file a name change request in Pennsylvania, suggesting she may have already done so in New York, where she grew up and lived with her mother until she left for university.
Also, Suri’s LaGuardia High School graduation program showed that she has gone by “Suri Noelle” since 2024, Page Six reported at the time.
“I’m proud of my daughter,” Holmes told Town & Country in a 2024 interview, ahead of Suri heading off to college.

“Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy,” the Dawson’s Creek alum continued.
“I remember being this age, this time of beginnings,” she continued. “It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.”

But the musical theatre major has not been publicly seen with her estranged father since Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012.
Suri is set to appear in Midsummer!, a modern take on William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream put on by Carnegie Mellon students, Page Six reported.
Following its two-show run on July 31 and Aug. 1 in Pittsburgh, the cast and crew of the 90-minute stage production will head to Scotland for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from Aug. 6 to 19.
