Motherland star Lucy Punch  joined Amanda Holden for a screening and Q&A of her new spin-off series Amandaland at the Garden Cinema in London on Thursday.

The series, which is slated for release on February 5, will pick up following the end of hit sitcom Motherland, and comes from co-creators Sharon Horgan, Holly Walsh and Helen Serafinowicz.

For the screening, Lucy, 47, who plays Amanda, turned heads in a black jacket layered over a navy blue roll neck jumper and jeans.

She teamed her looked with black loafers and opted for a radiant palette of make up.

She posed with Amanda Holden, whose name was mentioned in Motherland, who wore wide leg satin trousers.

The BBC series, released on February 5, will pick up following the end of hit sitcom Motherland, and comes from co-creators Sharon Horgan (pictured at the screening), Holly Walsh and Helen Serafinowicz.

The radio star, 53, finished her stunning look with a pair of gold pointed heels and accessorised with silver jewellery.

Actress Joanna Lumley, 78, looked youthful in a grey and black fold top and black trousers, while Philippa Dunne opted for an adorable oversized collar shirt adorned with red hearts and jeans.

Also at the screening was Peter Serafinowicz, Samuel Anderson, Helen Serafinowicz, and Rochenda Sandal.

Titled Amandaland, the series will focus on Motherland's pretentious and newly divorced Amanda, played by Lucy.

It sees Amanda suffer a dramatic fall from grace as she navigates her single status, acid-tongued mother and the challenges of raising two teenagers.

While Joanna will continue to play her mother, Felicity, several new faces will appear in the six-episode spin-off.

Gavin and Stacey star Samuel Anderson plays Mal and the Derry Girls actor Siobhan McSweeney joins as Della.

They are joined by Rochenda (Line of Duty) as Fi, Ekow Quartey (Trying) as JJ and Peter(The Gentlemen) as Johannes.

Head of Comedy at the BBC, Tanya Qureshi, said: 'We can't wait for audiences to see Amanda's new chapter, brought to life by such a talented cast and a wonderfully sharp set of characters. It's going to be a real treat.'

After her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).

With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco-anxiety.

But not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.

Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity, who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely.

Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.

After a brief spell of freedom, Anne (Philippa Dunne) is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school.

Co-Founder of Merman, Sharon Horgan said: 'We're delighted to be working with the BBC and with this incredible cast.

'Motherland took off in a way that none of us were expecting, and it's just so exciting that we will continue to make this next chapter of parenthood and friendship.

'We have new parents, a new school and new problems to look forward to. We can't wait to get going on it'.

Clelia Mountford, Co-Founder of Merman says: 'We're delighted to be bringing Amandaland to the BBC and to share the next chapter of Amanda's story.

'Viewers are in for a treat! It's been so rewarding seeing how the complexity of Amanda's character has developed; the relationship with her mother, life as a single parent and her fledgling career.

'It's a joy to be working with such incredible comedy talent such as Lucy, Joanna and Phillipa once more.'

The show was created by Sharon Horgan, Graham Linehan, Helen Serafinowicz and Holly Walsh and also starred Anna Maxwell Martin, Diane Morgan, Paul Ready and Tanya Moodie.

All series of Motherland are available to stream on BBC iPlayer now.
