The onstage seduction routine has been a part of Usher's live show for a very long time. He basically does a variation on Janet Jackson's old "miscellaneous uncs shoot poison" routine. Usher tells the crowd that he needs one sexy lady to share the stage with him, and then that one sexy lady comes up and grinds on him while he sings to her. Usher is good at that kind of thing, but it can lead to some extremely funny awkwardness if the one sexy lady isn't into it. That's what happened last weekend in Nashville.

Right now, Usher is on a co-headlining tour with Chris Brown, which is an issue that we're not even going to get into here. On Saturday night, that tour came to Nashville's Nissan Stadium, and the one sexy lady clearly was not comfortable with the idea of Usher grinding on her. She just kind of froze and didn't make any eye contact. Usher stopped, made a Jim Halpert face, and told the crowd, "I don’t think she wanna be on the stage" before kind of shooing her off. The video of that moment quickly went viral after the Shade Room posted it.

As Complex reports, the story got funnier when that particular sexy lady chimed in. On Facebook, a woman named Gabrielle Cheyenne claimed to be that one sexy lady, and she offered her perspective on the whole episode:

Poetry. On Tuesday night, that same tour made its way to Birmingham, Alabama's Protective Stadium. This time around, Usher had to make sure that he and the audience were on the same page, and he referenced that Facebook post: "Before we get started, don't bring your ass up here if you don't wanna be here. God don’t like ugly, but he most certainly don’t feel too good about pretty privilege either, do he?" He said it playfully. It didn't seem harsh or anything. And he must've gotten his point across, since that night's one sexy lady turned out to be much more receptive to his "Can You Handle It?" performance.
