Red Velvet is giving fans an early treat by performing its upcoming title track, 'Surfin' Boy', live for the first time at the group's fan concert, days before the song's official release.

The performance will take place during '2026 Red Velvet FAN-CON 'A Day in Red & Velvet',' which runs from July 31 to August 2 at Hwajeong Gymnasium at Korea University in Seoul. All three concert dates have sold out, underscoring the excitement surrounding the group's long-awaited return.

Fans unable to attend in person will still be able to watch the final show, as the August 2 concert will be streamed live worldwide through Beyond LIVE.

'Velvet Summer' Arrives on August 3

Red Velvet is scheduled to release its new summer mini album, 'Velvet Summer,' on August 3, with 'Surfin' Boy' serving as the lead single.

The upbeat dance track blends bossa nova guitar, a relaxed reggae rhythm, and a house groove to create a summery sound. Member Joy penned the lyrics, which reflect on treasured summer memories shared with a loved one.

The choreography also embraces the seasonal theme, incorporating the Hawaiian "shaka" hand gesture alongside wave-inspired dance movements during the chorus.

Countdown Live Planned for Fans

To celebrate the album's release, Red Velvet will host a special countdown livestream on August 3 at 5 pm KST through the group's official YouTube and TikTok channels.

The event is expected to give fans a chance to celebrate the comeback alongside the members just hours before the mini album officially drops.

Velvet Summer marks Red Velvet's first full-group comeback since the release of 'Cosmic' in June 2024.

With sold-out concerts, an early live debut of 'Surfin' Boy', and a new mini album on the way, the group is set to kick off August with one of its most anticipated comebacks in recent years.
