The InstallerSHOW returns to the NEC Birmingham from 23–25 June 2026, and this year the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) is making a bigger impact than ever through a strengthened partnership with SNIPEF, the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation.

Exhibiting together on stand 4J11, APHC and SNIPEF will present a united front for the plumbing and heating sector, showcasing collaborative initiatives such as WaterSafe and the Legionella Risk Assessment and Disinfection scheme.

The joint stand highlights both organisations’ shared commitment to raising professional standards and supporting their members across the UK.

APHC and SNIPEF firmly believe that greater collaboration across the industry is essential to maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring strong representation on critical issues including apprenticeships, regulation and legislation. Their presence at InstallerSHOW serves as a visible demonstration of this ongoing partnership and its benefits for members and the wider industry.

Sarah Fry, CEO of APHC said: “This year’s joint presence with SNIPEF at InstallerSHOW is a powerful statement about the direction our industry needs to take. By working together, we can strengthen standards, amplify the voice of professional plumbing and heating businesses and tackle shared challenges such as skills shortages, regulation and consumer protection. Our collaboration is about delivering real, practical benefits for our members and ensuring the long-term future of the sector.”

Fiona Hodgson, SNIPEF Chief Executive, added: “The challenges facing our industry do not stop at borders, which is why strong collaboration between organisations such as SNIPEF and APHC is so important. By working together, we can not only provide stronger representation for our members and drive higher standards, but also create a united voice capable of delivering meaningful change on the issues that matter most to plumbing and heating businesses across the UK.

“Apprenticeships are a prime example. Employers carry the responsibility of training and developing future professionals, yet too often their role is overlooked. If we are serious about addressing skills shortages and securing the long-term future of the industry, we must ensure employers are supported, listened to and recognised as a vital part of the apprenticeship system. Through collaboration, we can make a stronger case for the reforms and investment needed to build a sustainable workforce for the future.”

As part of the event programme, APHC will also host an expert panel discussion on the InstallerPLAZA stage on Tuesday 24 June at 3:30pm. Titled “No Apprentices, No Industry: Why the skills gap is now our problem,” the session will explore the growing skills shortage and its impact on plumbing and heating businesses.

This insightful session, with panel members from APHC, BPEC and JTL, will examine what the skills gap means in real terms, why small businesses and sole traders are being hit hardest and the underlying reasons fewer young people are entering the trade.

Visitors are encouraged to attend the session and visit stand 4J11 to meet the team and learn more about APHC and SNIPEF’s work.
